artist interview

An interview with the maker or producer of an object or artwork can provide insight into the intentions, materials used, intended experience and background of the work. These can then be considered in relation to its current and future conservation.

‘The Artist Interview’ sets out a methodology for how conservators can question artists.

The data collected may be added to a central system where interviews are stored.
